Ursus spelaeus - spelearctos - cave bear

An extinct species of bear which disappeared about 15,000 years ago. Widespread in Eurasia in the middle and late Pleistocene. The length of the body reached 2.7-3.5 m. Researchers are more inclined to the fact that cave bears were vegetarians, and their diet consisted of roots, grass and honey. However, in winter, the cave bear could hunt herbivores.
